Community-Led Nutrition Drive Screened 200+ Children
A frontline worker set up weighing and measurement stations at the weekly local market where families naturally gathered. She coordinated with the ASHA and AWW to create a one-stop screening point. Over two days, the team screened 200+ children, identified 15 MAM and 3 SAM cases, and connected them with supplementary nutrition and NRC referrals. The approach has been incorporated into the block's quarterly planning.
First-Ever Village ECD Awareness Campaign
A team of frontline workers organised an ECD campaign on a festival day, demonstrating how talking and singing builds brain connections, why responsive feeding matters, and how play is the foundation of cognitive development. They used local analogies — comparing brain development to tending a rice paddy. Over 150 families attended, AWC attendance rose by 35% in the following months, and the template has been adopted across the district.
