Full immunization coverage

100% Immunization Coverage in 6 Months

When Rihun took charge of her AWC, immunization coverage was below 60%. She created a beneficiary tracking register with every child's vaccination due dates, conducted weekly home visits to counsel hesitant families, and coordinated with the ASHA and ANM to align session schedules with market days. Within six months, every eligible child had received all age-appropriate vaccinations — a first for the village.

Model AWC recognition

AWC Transformed into Model Learning Centre

Balahun noticed children losing interest during ECCE sessions that relied only on charts. She crafted activity materials from local resources — bamboo counting frames, cloth story boards, and leaf art kits — and organised dedicated activity corners including a reading nook with Khasi picture books. She also started a "Story of the Week" practice inviting grandparents to share folk tales. Attendance rose from 65% to 92% within three months.

Every home visit is a chance to change a child's future. When I see mothers practicing what we teach, I know our work matters.

Maintaining registers used to be challenging, but the Poshan Tracker app has made it so much easier. I can track every child's progress now.
