Brain Development Training – Module 3

Overview

This comprehensive training module focuses on advanced brain development concepts and practical techniques for promoting cognitive development in children aged 0-3 years. Building upon Modules 1 and 2, this session equips frontline workers with hands-on skills for 'Serve and Return' interactions, developmental assessment, and parent counseling.

Learning Objectives

• Understand the science of early brain development and neuroplasticity
• Master 'Serve and Return' interaction techniques
• Conduct GMCD assessments accurately and interpret results
• Counsel parents on age-appropriate stimulation activities
• Identify developmental delays and make appropriate referrals

Prerequisites

• Completion of Module 1 and Module 2 certification
• 6+ months experience as AWW/LS
• Basic familiarity with GMCD tools
