Achievement

Smt. Balahun Lyngkhoi has been recognized as AWW of the Month for December 2025 for her exceptional dedication to early childhood development. Her Anganwadi Centre in Mylliem block has achieved 100% beneficiary coverage and consistently ranks among the top-performing centres in the district.

Key Highlights

• Achieved 100% growth monitoring coverage for all registered children
• Conducted 45 home visits in December, exceeding the target of 30
• Organized 3 community awareness sessions on nutrition and hygiene
• 100% ECCE attendance for children aged 3-6 years
• Maintained all records with zero errors on Poshan Tracker
• Trained 2 new AWW helpers from the community

Impact

Under Smt. Lyngkhoi's care, the proportion of underweight children in her AWC area has decreased from 18% to 9% over the past year. She has also successfully mobilized the community to contribute locally available nutritious foods for supplementary nutrition, and established a thriving kitchen garden at the AWC.
